Groombridge Place Restoration

Groombridge Place is a 17th century moated house near Tunbridge Wells, Kent. There is a major renovation project in progress. We have been instructed to carry out extensive restoration and conservation on the 17th century panelling, as well as other areas of staircases and floors.

The small flight of stairs leading into the kitchen was in need of repair. A piece of period timber was spliced in to repair the string and colour-matched with the original timber to make the repair seamless.
