Groombridge Place Kent

The setting for the Bennett family in the remake of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, Groombridge Place is located near Tunbridge Wells in Kent.

Groombridge Place is of particular importance as one of the last remaining Grade 1 Listed 17th Century moated Manor Houses in the country.  As such this privately owned home is a national treasure.

Vincent Reed Ltd was contracted exclusively to carry out the specialist conservation and restoration of the extensive 17th century interior woodwork including the panelling, flooring, windows, staircases and furniture.

Vincent’s work at Groombridge has proved to be of great interest and he was the subject of several articles including the national press including The Sunday Telegraph and Period House
